Cashu is a free and open-source Chaumian ecash system built for Bitcoin. Cashu offers near-perfect privacy, just like spending and receiving cash. You can receive ecash by using Nostrly or npub.cash as your Lightning address.
This tool lets you redeem a Cashu ecash token and get paid to your lightning address… just like paying cash into a bank account. You can also use this tool to pay a lightning invoice using ecash, with change returned as a new ecash token.
Simply enter your Cashu ecash token below… you will then be able to enter a lightning address to redeem the funds to, or a lightning invoice or LNURL to pay. Once payment is made, any change due will be presented as a new ecash token.
